Mechanical Engineering Department Information
I’m thrilled to welcome you all the prospective students, current students, an alumnus, or parents to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical engineering is a dynamic and challenging field that has been at the forefront of technological innovation for centuries. Our department is committed to providing students with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, while also preparing them tackle multidisciplinary real work problems for the exciting challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

They inspire us every day with their achievements and contributions. Their dedication, hard work, and versatility are truly commendable. - Rigorous curriculum: Our new NEP compliant curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles, as well as the opportunity to specialize in areas of their interest.
- State-of-the-art facilities: We have invested in cutting-edge laboratories and equipment to provide students with the hands-on experience they need to succeed in the workplace. Many of them are supported by industries.

We are excited about the future of mechanical engineering, and we believe that our graduates will be the leaders who will shape the world of tomorrow. I am writing to share some exciting updates from the Mechanical Engineering Department.
- New Projects and Collaborations: We have recently initiated several innovative projects in collaboration with industry partners such Autodesk, Celeria. These projects offer fantastic opportunities for our team to apply their expertise and contribute to cutting-edge developments in the field. I encourage everyone to engage actively and bring forth their creative ideas.
- Research Grants and Funding Opportunities: I would like to remind everyone to explore the various research grants and funding opportunities available to support your projects. Presently working on research projects funded by ERASMUS, SERB
- Upcoming Events: Our department will be hosting a series of seminars and workshops in the coming months. These events aim to foster knowledge exchange and networking among our faculty, staff, and students. In the month of Oct 2024, we will be organising International symposium on Agriculture mechanisation and Digitalisation at COEP Tech.
